TWO-AXIS CNC SYSTEM – MODELS 3М193 CNC - 3М198 CNC

Machines are equipped with CNC system, electric drives and electric accessories manufactured by Siemens (Germany).

Machine automation:

Control from one main panel. Free programming and program editing from the workplace.
Programming of shape for shaft grinding surface, technology and grinding modes.
Indication of operator’s errors and malfunction of machine units, accessories and hardware in the form of text messages on panel screen.
Automatic grinding of shaft according to CNC system (without operator’s intervention).
Continuous feed of grinding wheel during longitudinal grinding for compensation of its wear
Quick automatic withdrawal and approach of grinding wheel during termination and renewal of grinding.
Grinding cycles – rough grinding with grinding wheel wear compensation, first finish grinding, second finish grinding, sparking-out.

Wheelhead:

Consists from two parts – upper and bottom. Upper part which has spindle unit of grinding wheel with drive motor is swinging in relation to axis, fixed in bottom part under spindle axis.

Cross-feed mechanisms (Х axis):

Rolling screw-motion drive with drive from DC servo motor. It provides all types of feeds and quick withdrawal-approach of grinding wheel on specified value.
«Electric» flywheel for cross feeds.

Mechanism of table longitudinal movement («Z» axis):

Mechanism of delicate cross movement (swinging) of grinding wheel ( «U» axis):

Swing of wheelhead upper body in relation to bottom body is made by special mechanism of delicate feeds constituting rolling screw-motion drive with drive from DC servo motor and leverage mechanism in output. This mechanism provides any shaping of roll crowning, grinding wheel wear compensation and slideways error compensation.
«Electric» flywheel for delicate movement of grinding wheel.

Bed and tables:

Front bed with longitudinal slideways for bottom table.
Rear bed (secured with front bed) for mounting of bottom step plate of wheelhead.
Upper swinging table for tapering adjustment during grinding of parts held between machine centres.
Friction pair «teflon-cast iron» in slideways of bottom table (longitudinal feeds).

Both beds, tables and both step plates are ribbed castings from gray cast iron.
